Blue light is generally defined as visible light ranging from 380 - 500nm. Approximately 1/3 of all visible light is considered high energy visible or blue light. The main source of blue light is sunlight and display screens of digital devices such as tablets, mobile phones, computers & laptops. The amount of blue light that these digital devices emit are only a fraction of what is emitted by the sun.

As more and more people are in front of screens everyday the risk of macular degeneration has significantly increased. Users of digital devices must now look at ways to best protect their eyes from harmful blue light.
